Hi – I’m Jessie and welcome to my website! I created this website to share
with you my book, Jessie’s Kitchen Cookbook. This book is a collection of
recipes gathered over my many years of experience and I’m sharing it with
you in hopes that you will also enjoy some of these wonderful recipes.

For your cooking pleasure, here’s a sample recipe:

“Seventh Heaven” French Toast

2 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt, scant
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Combine ingredients and dip slices of bread into mixture until saturated; then fry in lightly buttered fry pan, 360º in electric fry pan, until lightly browned. Makes 5 or 6 slices.

This is my mother’s recipe which I have modified slightly. I like sloppy French toast so soak in milk mixture just until you can barely lift it to the fry pan, and then fry only until light brown. Serve with butter or margarine, then pour real maple syrup over top, sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar, and top with a dollop of whipped topping garnished with a strawberry. Scrumptious!
